The original 16th-century part of the house, lovingly restored: two double bedrooms with beaver-wetland views, a cast iron bath, and a good Wi-Fi connection. Sleeps up to 6.
Beaver views from your bed. From both bedrooms you can see one of the beaver wetlands, and watch the beavers swimming near their feeding place. It's the closest you can sleep to them :)
'The Haven' is the original 16th Century part of the house which has been lovingly restored to provide a two bedroomed self contained space. The entry lobby which can be useful for storing bikes leads to the coat hooks and a freezer downstairs. Upstairs is a very cosy and beautiful space with two double bedrooms - one has an additional double foam mattress, and the other has a single foam mattress. The Haven can accommodate up to 6 people, but the property is ideally suited to two couples or a family sharing. The doorways are low - so taller folk may need to be mindful to avoid any bumps to the forehead ;0)
The large bathroom has a hand basin, toilet and a cast iron bath tub with a shower attachment. The small kitchen has everything you may need including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. There is a small table that can (just about) seat 4 folk eating together. From both bedroom windows, it is possible to see one of the beaver wetlands and the beavers swimming near their feeding place. Although there is no dedicated living room/lounge, we encourage Haven guests to make the most of the beautiful Breakfast Room in the evenings as it is a perfect place to relax, play the piano or games and chat with friends. The WiFi is good in the Haven.
The Haven is very beautiful, warm and well insulated.
All properties are self-catering with fully equipped kitchens that have all the utensils, crockery and cutlery that you should need. We also supply freshly laundered towels, tea towels and bed linens. Toilet tissue, washing up liquid, toilet cleaner, hand soap, bin/recycling bags and sponges are also supplied.
There is enough parking for each property to bring along 2 cars, however we encourage car sharing wherever possible. If you are bringing 2 auto mobiles, please park one in front of the other to allow space for others. Watch out for the cheeky potholes!
All properties have use of the communal Breakfast Room where a shared internet connection can be used for essential messages. Please note that we are 3 miles from the exchange and do not expect 'super fast' speeds.
The kayaks, fire pit and grounds are all communal - please do 'wild' swim and 'plunge', cook supper over a real fire and meet the bees.
The stars are phenomenal as we have no light pollution here, and please do make the most of the incredible walks into the Cambrian Mountains directly from the farm :)
The beavers can be seen up close every evening!!! Please be kind to them as they are wild creatures and only come close as they trust us to be calm and peaceful.
For nature lovers, this unique 75 acre site is home to a multitude of rare species including water voles, willow tits, great crested newts, pine martens and polecats. There are so many species of dragonflies, slow worms, herons, spotted flycatchers, bats...... and many, many more <3
We're so sorry, but we can't have dogs here. With ground-nesting birds and a family of beavers living so close to the house, it's just too risky. We really are sorry.
The next three months. Open nights can be requested; coloured nights are already taken.

“A magical off-grid escape! Sharon is a wonderful host and Blaeneinion is a hidden gem. The absolute highlight for us was watching the beavers at dusk and enjoying the absolute peace of the valley. The mountain road is a bit of an adventure, so print Sharon's directions beforehand. Highly recommend for any nature lover!”
“Sharon has worked incredibly hard to create a paradise for others to share in. Perfect for walks, peace and, yippee, no phone signal! An ideal place for a retreat or a phone detox. Immerse yourself in beautiful nature, with chickens, beavers, birdsong, ponds and trees. Highly recommended, thank you for a wonderful stay Sharon!”
